The Guy Behind Micro Billboards
Just a Small-Town Entrepreneur Who Learned the Hard Way
Hey! I'm Bryan Dittrich, and I'm the person behind Micro Billboards. I grew up in a small town where we tend to tackle problems head-on and aren't afraid of a good challenge. That mindset has pretty much shaped everything I do, including building this platform.
How I Got Here (The Not-So-Glamorous Version)
Look, I'll be honest with you – I didn't start out thinking I'd become the guy who helps people find business solutions. Like most folks from smaller towns, I figured I'd follow a pretty traditional path. But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs, and somewhere along the way, I caught the entrepreneurship bug.
Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to create and scale several online businesses. Some did really well – a few even crossed that million-dollar mark, which still feels surreal to say. But let's be real here: others failed miserably. I've had my share of ideas that I was absolutely convinced would work, only to watch them crash and burn spectacularly.
Here's the thing nobody tells you about entrepreneurship: the failures teach you just as much, if not more, than the successes. Every failure was a lesson, and every success came with the humbling reminder of how much I still didn't know.
The Painful (and Expensive) Lessons
Looking back, I can trace some of my biggest business failures to poor decisions – whether it was choosing the wrong approach, missing key insights, or simply not understanding what I actually needed versus what I thought I needed. Each failure cost me time, money, and sometimes entire business opportunities.
Those failures hurt – financially and personally. But they also gave me something valuable: a deep understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face and how the right information and resources can be the difference between success and failure.
Why My Failures Matter to You
Here's why I'm sharing all this: because of those failures, I'm passionate about helping other entrepreneurs avoid the same mistakes. I've felt the frustration of making decisions without enough information. I've experienced the sinking feeling of watching competitors pull ahead because they had better resources. I've lived through the stress of scrambling to find solutions when you're already behind.
Those experiences – both the painful failures and the hard-won successes – are exactly why I want to help people find the right solutions for their business endeavors. When I see entrepreneurs struggling with the same challenges I faced, it brings back all those memories of my own costly mistakes.
I built Micro Billboards because I genuinely want to help other business owners save the time and money I wish I could have saved. Every hour you don't have to spend researching solutions is an hour you can spend building your business. Every dollar you don't waste on the wrong approach is a dollar that stays in your pocket or gets invested in growth.
Building Something I Wish I'd Had
The idea for Micro Billboards came from a pretty selfish place, honestly. I wanted to build the resource I wish I'd had during all those late-night research sessions and costly mistakes. Something created by someone who'd actually been in the trenches, who understood what it's like to run a business, and who could cut through all the marketing noise to give you straight answers.
I love a good challenge – always have. Maybe it's that small-town stubbornness, but when I see a problem affecting so many people, I can't help but want to try to solve it. Building a platform that actually helps entrepreneurs make better decisions and avoid the mistakes that contributed to my own failures? That seemed like a challenge worth taking on.
I believe in quality over quantity – if I'm going to do something, it's going to be done right. That philosophy drives everything about Micro Billboards. We'd rather have fewer, thoroughly vetted resources than hundreds of mediocre recommendations. When someone finds a solution through our platform, I want them to know it's been carefully evaluated by someone who understands what actually works in real business situations.
As Theodore Roosevelt said, "The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena" – someone who's willing to take risks, make mistakes, and keep trying even when things go wrong. That's exactly what entrepreneurship is about.
I've been in the arena, I've failed, I've gotten back up, and I've learned from every mistake. Those failures aren't something I'm ashamed of – they're the reason I can help other entrepreneurs navigate challenges I've already faced.
What I'm Really Trying to Do
My goal is pretty simple: save other business owners the time, money, and headaches I went through. I want to help people make informed decisions and maybe help them avoid some of the mistakes that contributed to my own business failures.
Because of my failures, I'm driven to help others succeed in their business endeavors. When someone finds what they need through our platform and tells me it saved them weeks of research, or when they avoid a costly mistake because they had access to real information – that's when I know this work matters.
What's Next
I'll be the first to admit that Micro Billboards isn't perfect, and it probably never will be. But that's part of what makes this challenge exciting – there's always something new to figure out, always a way to make things better for the people using our platform.
My goal isn't to build the biggest directory on the internet or anything like that. I just want to create something genuinely useful for people who are where I was a few years ago – trying to build something meaningful while facing the same challenges that once derailed my own ventures. Quality over quantity, always.
Every day brings new opportunities to help entrepreneurs avoid the mistakes I made and find resources that actually help their businesses grow. That's the challenge that gets me excited, and honestly, I'm just getting started.
